Festival Set-Up

Volunteers will help set up everything and anything starting on Thursday evening and Friday afternoon.   This is one of the most important volunteer opportunities, these volunteers help to ensure we are ready to go on Friday evening.  Please come and help as frequently as you can.  This position requires that you are able to lift heavy objects!

Children's Games, Rides and Activities

Children's Games:  Volunteers run games and distribute prizes. Game rules will be provided.  If you would like to volunteer for a specific game, please email stmarysfamilyfestival@gmail.com

Prize Restocker (Children's Games):
 Partnering with the games chairperson, volunteers monitor game booths and restock prizes as needed.

Children's Games (Supervisor):
 Partnering with the Games chairperson, volunteers help to provide overall supervision for the children's games.

Children's Activities:
 Assist the children with the different crafts and activities that can include, face painting, polishing nails, etc.

Inflatables:  
Volunteers will take tickets, ensure children have removed their shoes, safely help them on and off the inflatable. Inflatables require one adult and one high school age person per shift.  If you would like to volunteer for a specific inflatable, please email stmarysfamilyfestival@gmail.com

Trackless Train:  Sunday Only!  One volunteer will take tickets and ensure children are safely seated on the train and the other will drive the tractor.  Must be over 21 to volunteer for this.

Food & Beverage

Food Court:  Volunteers will prepare and serve food (Hot dogs, hamburgers, cotton candy, popcorn, etc.) non-alcoholic drinks and receive and process all payment methods.

Coffee & Bake Table: 
 Volunteers package and sell baked good donations and coffee.

Irish Pub: 
 Volunteers assist with pouring of beverages and receive and process all payment methods. Will also help with set-up of pub on first shift. YOU MUST BE 21 OR OLDER TO VOLUNTEER.

Tickets & Information

Information Booth:  Volunteers working at the information desk will sell tickets and wristbands and are available to answer questions - volunteers will be provided with all relevant information. Volunteers will also be in charge of keeping track of lost and found items. The Information Booth will also be where lost children are brought to meet their parents. MUST BE OVER AGE 18 TO VOLUNTEER.

Basket Raffle: 
 Volunteers will sell tickets in the Basket Raffle tent and answer questions related to basket items. Descriptions of baskets will be available.

Silent Auction: 
 Volunteers will monitor items and answer any questions regarding the Silent Auction. Great job for someone that wants to be out of the sun and off their feet! Must be over 18 to volunteer for this.  Click the registration link to the right to view more information on the different shifts and types of volunteers that are needed to support the Silent Auction during the festival.

Grand Raffle Ticket Sales:  Volunteers will work in the Grand Raffle Ticket tent to promote and sell tickets. Volunteers will receive and process all payment methods.

Festival Maintenance, Security & First Responders

Festival Maintenance  Working to ensure that our festival remains a clean and safe environment. Volunteers will be responsible for emptying trash barrels and other various and other tasks. This position requires that you are able to lift heavy objects and over age 18. Click here to Volunteer


Festival First Responders: 
 Be on standby to help festival guests with any health emergencies during the festival. Only for registered nurses and first responders.

Pub Quiz and Over 21 Games

Over 21 Games:  Volunteers will assist with games under the big tent that are for those 21 and over! MUST BE AT LEAST 21 TO VOLUNTEER.

Pub Quiz: 
 Take drink orders and serve players during Quiz. Volunteers will receive and process all payment methods.  Also, as score sheets are submitted, volunteers will grade each team's responses, and score them based on correct/incorrect answers. MUST BE OVER 21 TO VOLUNTEER

Festival Tear-Down

Lifting is involved! Breakdown consists of assisting with breaking down the tables, booths, tents, food court, signage, and moving items into the parish cellar. Helping to lift heavy items can be involved. Thank you for helping us on Sunday evening after all the festival is finished!
