November is the month when the Church pauses to remember and honor all our brothers and sisters who have been called home to Christ. At St. Mary’s, we also place a memorial book on the altar for parishioners to write the names of their loved ones so that we can remember them at Mass throughout the month.
On Monday, November 2nd, we will celebrate a special Mass of Remembrance at 5:00 p.m.
The names of parishioners who have passed in this past year will be read, a bell will toll, and candles will be lit in their memory. These names and candles will remain on the altar throughout November.
Although Covid restrictions prevent us from holding our traditional meal and social gathering following Mass, we hope you will join us for Mass and prayer on this special day. After this especially difficult year, we all need to come together once again as a grieving parish family, to console one another, and honor the memory of our departed loved ones.
