Description To be in a state of reverie, is to be in a state of musing, lost in one's thoughts, or daydreaming. Musically, the term reverie is an ambiguous one, one that does not suggest a particular style, but instead suggestive of an organic piece of music that may be stylistically diverse, and without a clear cut formal structure. Only one of the pieces on the program includes the word Reverie, Asha Srinivasan's Mercurial Reveries, but the music that I have chosen, at least to me, might evoke a state of reverie. It is music in which the soundworld captures your attention and invites you to become lost within it, sometimes due to sheer beauty, sometimes through cloudy textures, sometimes through improvisatory like figures, and sometimes through the medium of dance.
